Understanding the Right Time for a Business to Cut Sugar (or) Rebranding

Just like cutting sugar makes our body feel lighter and healthier, there is also a time when a business needs to cut sugar as well. The time to cut sugar for a business is called β€œπ‘πžπ›π«πšπ§ππ’π§π β€.

To explain what π‘πžπ›π«πšπ§ππ’π§π  means in a visible way, it can be said as renewing and refreshing something that has become old.

For example, let’s say we have a restaurant business. From the day it was established, everything from the shop decoration, food presentation, to the seating arrangement has stayed the same. The shop is still operating normally, but although at the beginning it mainly targeted young people and middle-aged customers, now it has turned into a place mostly visited by older people. In this way, the target customers have shifted.

When things like this happen in a business, it means it is time to do π‘πžπ›π«πšπ§ππ’π§π . Just like a person who becomes less active, gains weight, and no longer feels fresh, it means it’s time to cut sugar. So now that we understand the condition of the business, it’s time to make changes. Where should we start rebranding from?

πŸƒ Change your perspective – decide who your business should target, what kind of style will attract your target customers, and what kind of image you want your brand to have.

πŸƒ Rebuild step by step – making sudden and complete changes can be risky, so it’s important to move forward steadily and stay on the right path. Just like how it’s hard to cut emotional attachment to an ex, customers also find it difficult to forget the old image of a brand. That’s why consistency is the most important key in the rebranding process.

So when running a business, we can’t fall behind the times, but we also can’t blindly chase trends. It must align with our business goals and also include modern elements. Only then can we build and maintain a truly healthy business.
